Fair Contract Action Resolution

WHEREAS, Flight Attendants at United Airlines have been negotiating for a Joint Collective Bargaining Agreement for three years; and,
WHEREAS, Flight Attendants deserve to share in the benefits of the merger at a time of record profitability of United Airlines; and,
WHEREAS, with negotiation for a Joint Collective Bargaining Agreement in mediation, it is critical that 25,000 Flight Attendants make our voices heard.
THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED, that this Joint MEC Meeting supports a system-wide day of action with date determined by the Joint Negotiating Committee; and,
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that our CAL-CMI-UAL Joint MEC supports a series of coordinated, rolling base actions on successive weeks announced on OurContract.org and promoted as part of the system-wide effort to achieve a joint agreement; and,
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that comprehensive and on-going information about the negotiations process and proposals as well as how to sign up for email/text updates will be issued to members to ensure we all know what we are fighting for; and,
BE IT FINALLY RESOLVED, that the Joint CAL-CMI-UAL MEC reaffirm our prior commitment to support efforts of the JNC to pressure management to secure a fair agreement.
